By accessing and using the Kenya National Research Festival 2025 (KNRF 2025) website, registering for the event, or participating in any festival activities, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
Event Registration
Registration Requirements:
- All participants must complete the online registration process
- Accurate and complete information must be provided during registration
- Valid identification documents are required for verification
- Registration is subject to availability and approval by the organizers
Registration Categories:
- Delegates: General participants attending sessions and exhibitions
- Speakers: Individuals presenting at the festival (by invitation or application)
- Exhibitors: Organizations showcasing products, services, or research outputs
- Partner: Organizations collaborating with the festival to support its objectives
- Volunteer: Individuals assisting with festival operations (by invitation or application)
- Press: Media representatives covering the festival
- Guest: Individuals invited to attend the festival
- Poster presenters: Individuals presenting poster research presentations at the festival (by invitation or application)
- Crew/Service providers: Individuals assisting with festival operations (by invitation or application)
Payment Terms
Exhibition Booths and Farm Plots:
- Booth and plot reservations require payment within 3 days of booking
- Failure to complete payment within the specified timeframe may result in cancellation
- All payments are in Kenyan Shillings (KES) unless otherwise specified
- VAT and other applicable taxes are included in the quoted prices
Intellectual Property
Content Ownership:
- Participants retain ownership of their research presentations and materials
- By presenting, participants grant KNRF limited rights to record and share content for promotional purposes
- The KNRF website content, logos, and branding are protected by copyright
Photography and Recording:
- The event may be photographed and recorded for documentation and promotional purposes
- By attending, participants consent to being photographed or recorded
- Participants who do not wish to be recorded should notify organizers in advance
Code of Conduct
Professional Behavior:
- All participants must maintain professional and respectful behavior
- Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated
- Participants must respect intellectual property and research ethics
Safety and Security:
- Participants must follow all safety guidelines and venue rules
- Security checks may be conducted at the venue
- Prohibited items include weapons, illegal substances, and unauthorized recording equipment
Data Protection and Privacy
Data Collection:
- Personal information is collected for registration, communication, and event management
- Data is processed in accordance with Kenyan data protection laws
- Participants' contact information may be shared with sponsors and partners for relevant opportunities
Data Security:
- We implement appropriate security measures to protect personal data

Event Changes and Cancellation

- KNRF organizers are not liable for personal injury, property damage, or loss during the event
- Participants attend at their own risk and are responsible for their personal belongings
- Travel and accommodation arrangements are the responsibility of participants
- The organizers' liability is limited to the amount paid for registration or services

- Users must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the system
- Automated data collection or scraping is prohibited
Account Security:
- Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials
